Leave the mainland behind for a day and head over to an island and explore what life is like for the locals that live there. Enjoy activities from learning how to weave basket frames and visiting a beautiful pagoda to boarding a boat for an amazing adventure around the island!
Your personal Onetrip guide will pick you up at your accommodation early in the morning, leaving the city behind as we drive along the coastal road with breathtaking views of mountains and sea on both sides. First stop? Delicious Vietnamese breakfast and a cup of coffee to wake you up, the same way as locals do.
Once you’ve gained your energy, the adventure continues as we head over to the first proper stop on the itinerary: a handicraft village in Khanh Hoa where you will learn to weave bamboo basket frames. These skills have been passed on for generations, so you will be leaving here with a family secret.
Once you become a master weaver, we’ll head to a local market to try some tasty tropical treats like sugar cane juice or a fresh coconut! We’ll also buy some vegetables for our lunch on the floating house later. After this, it’s time to get on the boat.
The soft waves and the fresh breeze will be extremely welcome as we tour around on the boat. Exploring on the boat can definitely work up an appetite, but not too worry, there is a variety of cold drinks and beers as well as fresh fruit to keep you going while swimming and exploring a nearby beach.
We’ll also visit an area with some coral reefs - we’ve got snorkeling gear ready for you to go underwater and explore the diverse aquatic life! In order to preserve marine life and keep it thriving, remember not to step on the coral reefs. By now you’ll have worked up a serious appetite! Time to head to the floating fishing farm where you’ll be well fed by the local family who runs the fish farm and then you’ll have some time to relax or if you wish, try to paddle the iconic Vietnamese basket boat - a dizzying adventure well worth a few photos!
With all this behind us and the sun setting at the horizon, it’s time to head back. We will finish your trip and this day full of unique experiences at about 6:00 PM when we bring you back home.
Breakfast, drinks, entrance fees, activities and an awesome local lunch are included.
Although the private car option is available, we recommend taking the motorcycle as we think it is the best way to experience our Vietnamese culture. On a bike, we can stop whenever and wherever you want. The freedom is incomparable to anything else you would have experienced.
For those with back problems or family with elderly or young children, we recommend the private car option. (Although, we did once have a courageous 6-year old who loved every bit of the motorcycle adventure.)
We also have a minivan group tour option which can have up to 12 guests for a more social experience.
Meeting/Pick-up points: Pick-up from hotels in downtown area.
Guests who need to be picked up & dropped off in a suburban location, have to pay an extra fee:
